Helena Andersson - Gisbourne

Studio 66 Jewellery

Helena's inspiration is mainly based upon shapes and forms from the 50's and 60's.
She's also influenced by the minimalistic surroundings she had around her growing up in Sweden and the New Zealand lifestyle she has had the last 20 years.

She enjoys working in precious and semi precious metals in a combination with natural materials such as pearls, shells, feathers, wood, bone and precious, semi precious and beach stones.

She studied at University of Design and Art in Stockholm and graduated with a MFA in Metal Design in 2000. Shortly after Helena migrated to New Zealand and Auckland where she worked with John Edgar the stone sculptor for 2 years and then she taught Jewellery design at Hungry Creek Art and Craft School before moving to Gisborne in 2004. In November 2004 she started STUDIO 66 JEWELLERY and has been working as a Jeweller ever since.
