Lloyd Harwood

Lloyd Harwood's work is notable for its simplicity and form and intensity of hue. This - along with a strong sense of composition - has allowed him to develop a personal and recognisable style.

He was born in England, where he studies art and acquired a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with Honours from Falmouth School of Fine Art, and a Diploma in Art & Design from the Colchester Institute School of Art.

Since arriving in New Zealand in 1987, Lloyd had held numerous solo shows across both islands and has been a recipient of national awards for contemporary painting and for originality in use of colous. He was gifted Artist Membership of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts in 1990.
