Anoushka Szybowski

Anoushka Szybowski, Westport

Anoushka completed a BFA from Whitecliffe College of Art & Design, Auckland in 2003, and currently lives on the West Coast of the South Island.

Her inspiration comes from the surroundings, the bush, the birds and the nature of this wonderful place. It’s from this personal interaction with nature, and its vibrant bird life, that a lot of her subject matter stems. Her illustrations are highly detailed and beautifully composed, capturing the alluring character of the native bird life.

Anoushka currently works in pencil or charcoal, and enjoys the challenge of these mediums.
