Robert Scott

Robert Scott, Dunedin

Robert grew up in East Taieri south of Dunedin and went to art school there in 1980. Joined a band called “The Clean” in 1980 and played a lot around the country until 82, shortly after this, “The Bats” was formed. he was very busy with this music until the late 90s. It was around then that he got back into his painting.

Robert mainly paints on hardboard and create the shape of the board with rough tools.

He painted the surrounding South Island country side and local bird life.

Lately he has been exploring other ideas such as themes of space, other worldly beings along with other flights of fancy.

At the Moment he lives in Roseneath near Port Chalmers where he works as a teacher aide.
