MO au (About): Erihapeti is a multi-media creatrix of who has been creating in various media since childhood. She has a background in Hypnotherapy, massage, Rongoa Maori, herbal medicine, ritual, ceremony, spiritual dedication, art and craft and community engagement that has seen her support hundreds of people through the rites of passage of birth, death, connection and crisis with dignity and strength.
She holds Medicine Woman qualifications, is a qualified Esoteric Hypnotherapist and a Marine Mammal Medic with Project Jonah.
"Working with the Atua, nature, nature spirits, all of the senses, my dreams, my ancestors and my teachers allows me to enter into the world of creating in collaboration with what wishes to be brought into form. The cycles of life - solar, lunar, seasonal and personal, provide the protective framework for my creative output. I had a dream that changed my life. I saw my tipuna, the Tohora, resting in the stars. Then I understood my origins and my destiny and I knew what to create. As a multimedia artist, I have fallen in love with all the materials - from the harakeke for weaving, to the ora whakato for medicine, the gold and silver, pounamu, whalebone and teeth which form the sacred taonga to the fabric and canvas which reveal the images of my inner world."
