Collection: Myriam Goos

Myriam Goos/Claybound, Nelson

Myriam never thought that she would find her passion at the age of 50. From the first second she sat down at a wheel at her pottery club in Nelson, desperately trying to centre an earthy and wet lump of clay, she was hooked. Since that day she hasn’t really stopped getting muddy.

Often drawn to dark and muted colours Myriam makes individual decorative pieces and small batches of functional ceramics for everyday use. She loves working with groggy clay by incorporating sand from around the country. So, every single piece is even more unique and holds the richness and diversity of beautiful Aotearoa New Zealand.
