Cindy Nagy

Cindy Nagy, Christchurch

Cindy has had a lifelong interest in creativity in general and fine art and craft in particular. In 2010 she graduated from, what was then, the Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology (since renamed ARA) with a Bachelor of Design, where she majored in printmaking.

Cindy works from home in Christchurch where she has a printing press in a small studio. She utilises linocut, woodcut, drypoint and etching techniques and sometimes a combination of these methods. Her influences are wide ranging, she finds inspiration in the natural world around her; from her own garden to the nearby beach, estuary and wetlands to the wider landscapes when travelling around New Zealand. Built environments also inspire her, the rooms and building.
