This design is based on the New Zealand native Kawakawa bush with its lovely heart shaped leaves and crafted from recycled Sterling Silver with recycled Sterling Silver hooks.
The Kawakawa is a traditional medicinal plant often used by the Maori people and has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It has a wide variety of uses including as a salve and as a tea.
The most potent leaves to pick for medicinal purposes are the ones with the most holes in them as the bugs know the best ones to eat!
