Pūtangitangi – ‘to blow tears’ by Nelson artist Tuia Marama
A taonga pūoro (musical instrument) formed with clay that is blown crossways over the waha (mouthpiece) and by placing your fingers over the wenewene (smaller holes) to change the pitch.
Often played to help release grief.
