Balancing
Balancing
Balancing Ring by Agathe Porlier as part of the NJW exhibition 'Up and Out'
The "Balancing" ring goes beyond the proportions of the finger to embrace the hand as a whole. This design explores the boundaries of jewellery and plays with the contrast between round and straight lines, echoing forms found in nature. A bold, circular hoop, surmounted by a straight sterling silver line, creates a striking visual balance. The intention is to merge the hand and the piece of jewellery into a single, harmonious element.
Materials: Sterling Silver and Brass
This jewellery collection explores the connection between nature and humanity through harmony, balance, and proportion. Combining copper, brass, and sterling silver, each piece aims to reflect nature’s divine geometry and the coexistence of contrasts. Her work invites rediscovery of our unity with nature, ourselves, and the world around us.
