Lighthouse Minis by Kāpiti artist Elisabeth Vullings
Compressed charcoal and acrylic on recycled weatherboards. The Lighthouse Minis include small architectural drawings (using a fine compressed charcoal pencil) of lighthouses around New Zealand which are hand-painted on weatherboard off-cuts. The weatherboards are carefully selected for their patina and character and Elisabeth tries to use them exactly as she finds them (other than a little sanding!)
