Veronika Maser

Veronika was born in Switzerland. Completing one year art school, an apprenticeship as a window dresser; constructing miniature design models; and designing and facilitating in a weaving studio while taking care of disabled people.

In 1992 she moved to New Zealand, further building creative ventures in many fields of arts. By 1999 pursuing Wire Sculptures and exhibiting throughout New Zealand and Australia.

She is intrigued with the complexity of humanity, the question of our existence, remembering links to the past and representing these moments in her work. They also resemble microorganisms in diagrammatic form, suggesting patterns for harmonious and sustainable growth. Her work has a strong emphasis on line, pairing geometric elements to deceptively simple forms that are two and three-dimensional all at once.
