Ceramic Cicada

Ceramic Cicada by clay artist Jeremy Gardiner 

The ceramic cicadas and dragonflies with translucent wings were inspired by
New Zealand’s wildlife - Jeremy saw their large and
structured wings as space for expression.

The ceramic body is made by hand and the translucent
wings are laser cut printed acetate - an example of how we can
combine ceramic form and digital fabrication.

Due to the handmade nature of the pieces, they have slight variations and may differ from the pictures
