Huia Earrings original design made with Miyuki seed beads.

The Huia is a treasured, sacred and sadly extinct, native wattle bird of New Zealand. The distinctive white tipped black tail feathers were traditionally worn in the hair of high ranking Māori chiefs and their whānau. The precious feathers were also presented as gifts.

All earrings are drawn and woven by Charli. Created using the worlds finest Miyuki Delica seed beads from Japan and the longest lasting microfused braided thread to stitch them together. Woven in peyote and brick stitch to create these original, eye catching earrings.

Each beaded earring dangles from a gorgeous and originally designed handmade French earring hook, smithed by me from Argentium Silver
