Carved Kakapo Necklace

Fumio Noguchi

Deer Antler Pendant carved in the shape of a Kakapo by Fumio Noguchi. The eye is made from Buffalo Horn. The back of the pendant depicts a feather.

Fumio started Bone Carving at the Maori Carving Academie in Christchurch in 2000. He realised that his true calling was in carving his own cultural Netsuke for which he uses deer antler, pig tusks, tagua nut, cow bone, whale tooth and box wood.

The pendant measures approximately 63 x 52 x 17 mm
