About artist:

'My hope is to create jewellery that draws you in to hold it, like an amulet or a touchstone. It feels protective, comforting and helps the wearer feel more themselves.

Making things has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Starting with clay as a child then anything I could get my hands on to shape into another form, nine times out of ten they became necklaces.....

After leaving school I decided on a jewellery techniques course at Manukau Institute of Technology in Auckland NZ, I made my decision then to continue in that field. Once I finished my studies in 2001, I was lucky enough to be invited to participate in exhibitions, sell my work in NZ galleries and feature in a few magazines. Later on I went travelling and based myself in the UK for six years where I worked as a bench jeweller and tutor for an independent jewellery store. Also, upskilling in jewellery workshop classes here in NZ and in the UK.

The jewellery I have made in this time has varied greatly. From Maori/Pacific inspired pieces, organic shapes and natural materials to traditional silver/gold-smithing, gem setting and repairs.'
