After years of reading and never throwing away comics Jeannie decided it was about time to do some creative recycling and so Left Field torsos was born in 2009. Jeannie enjoys creating papier mache torsos. Each one is made from scratch with layer upon layer of paper and glue until it is ready to be dressed with the chosen design. Each one takes 10 days (on and off) to complete and is totally unique as it is simply impossible to do the same design twice The torso is then finished with layers of lacquer. The range of torsos has now increased to many paper designs including maps and music. Jeannie derives great satisfaction from taking materials of little value and creating, from those, a work of art that can be appreciated as a fun and decorative individual piece.
